Well, here it is -- nearly fall -- and I’ve got yet another book release to announce! My current offering is “Painkillers” in the Kick Ass anthology with Maggie Shayne, MaryJanice Davidson, and Angela Knight. Over the weekend, Kick Ass was listed as one of the Top 100 sellers at www.barnesandnoble.com! During “Rank Watch 2005,” Kick Ass got as low as #55 on the list. Due to unforeseen circumstances (okay, I missed my deadline), Dead Heat (the third book in the Partners in Crime series) has been rescheduled to February 2006. It’s going to be worth the wait, though! This hot novel set in steamy Naples, Florida, stars ex-FBI special agent Daphne Donovan who joins forces with a Navy SEAL-turned-yacht captain to thwart a biochemist dead set on revenge.

While you’re waiting for Dead Heat, watch for Match Game in October and “Nothing But the Truth” in The Naked Truth anthology with Donna Kauffman, Alesia Holliday, and Erin McCarthy in November. These two books are comedies and will be released under the name Beverly Brandt.
